Child custody is top issue of GOP presidential hopeful

CEDAR FALLS --- Republican presidential candidate Mark Klein spoke Tuesday evening to a crowd of mostly father's rights advocates at the Holiday Inn.

The 65-year-old physician and psychiatrist from California focused on the issue most important to his core supporters --- equal rights in child custody cases. He chastised a system that he said rewards states for granting custody to mothers.

"What I plan to do in my first 100 days of my administration is I'm going to find a way to tell the states that there's no more money for divorce," he said.

His campaign manager, Tony Taylor, said the federal government subsidizes divorce by reimbursing counties for child support payments.

Dr Klein is an extremely intelligent man 'and' has a love for people. He understands why this country is in a spiral downfall and is willing to spend his retirement years to bring us back to what were we used to be. Saving the families is his main passion. I know of no other candidate who has even 'mentioned' our families.

America needs help .... and now is our big chance! Will it be our only chance? In today's political arena, that might be a sad reality. Now is the time to jump aboard the campaign train and let our voice be heard.
